Why Membership?

Church membership matters because the Bible describes the church as more than a place we attend. It is a people, and a family that is united in the mission that we share. A biblical church makes disciples, teaches God’s Word faithfully, and centers its life on Scripture, prayer, fellowship, and the Lord’s Supper.

Scripture calls us to be devoted to one another, not just loosely connected. It means committing to gather regularly, encouraging one another, and staying rooted in God’s Word. It’s walking in loving accountability: restoring, confessing, praying, and carrying the burdens of one another. Membership isn’t about adding your name to a list; it’s about fulfilling the role that God has gifted you for in the local body of believers. We don’t watch church happen, we are the church, and each of us have a job to do.
