Meet Our Team

I was born and raised in Lawton, OK. I love Lawton for many reasons: it is the place I met my wife, came to faith in Jesus, graduated college (somehow), and is where we are raising our kids. Lawton also has the best burgers, Mexican, and Chinese food you can find. When I look at Lawton I see potential, potential to change the world with the good news of Jesus.

 Texas winning a National Championship 

After 25 years of service in the Army, God has led us to plant a church in the Lawton-Fort Sill community. I met my wife, Rachel, in college at Middle Tennessee State University and we have been blessed with four children. Our family has lived in the Lawton-Fort Sill community for almost 10 cumulative years. This is our home and we want to see the city and surrounding area saturated with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Titanic and Pearl Harbor (it‘s a tie)

• What is your biggest fear?

I grew up in Marlow, OK where I met and married my high school sweetheart. I felt a call to ministry when I was 18 years old, and I’ve been working with youth students since. It’s incredible to watch the gospel of Jesus Christ work in the lives of young people and to see how God uses them to change the world for His glory. My wife and I are new to the Lawton area, and we are excited about the impact that the gospel can have on this community. We love it here more and more each day and look forward to raising our son here.

• What is your biggest fear?

Boredom

Lawton is the only “home” I’ve ever known, and it is where I began my relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. He radically changed my life and called me to Worship Ministry, and I love to share my excitement for what He’s done in my life through testimony and song! I met my amazing husband Paul studying Music in college and we have made a beautiful life together. We love to serve God, play good music and try our best to be good parents each day. We also are both music teachers for LPS. I am SO excited to be leading worship at Hope and pray you’ll come join us as we sing praises to the one true God who deserves it!

• What is your biggest fear?

I’m cliche…I’m scared of spiders. 

I have grown up in Lawton, OK and graduated from Cameron University with  a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have always had a passion for children’s ministry and felt the call to serve when I was 19 while serving on staff at Crosstimbers Camp . I am thankful for the work God has done in Hope church and allowing me to be apart of the team to help share the gospel in the town I call home!
